Harry Elbert Wright Jr., a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on June 5, 1945 in Fayetteville, Harry was known for his humorous, generous, and wise nature.
Harry was a proud US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. His dedication and service to his country were deeply appreciated by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Elbert Wright, Sr. and Hazel Irene Carty, and his sister, June Lowe. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Rodortha Wright; his sons, Johnny Wright and wife Kristina of McLeansville, and William Wright and wife Lori of Browns Summit; and his cherished grandchildren, Will and Carty Wright.
Harry had a passion for mechanics, working as a mechanic at Cone Mills and the Guilford County bus garage. His ability to fix nearly anything was well-known, and he enjoyed working on cars at home. Additionally, Harry had a love for hunting and fishing, hobbies that brought him much joy throughout his life.
A funeral service will be held in the mausoleum chapel at Lakeview Memorial Park, located at 3600 N O.Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
