A graveside service will be held at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel prior to the graveside service from 1:00 until 1:50 p.m.
Born September 17, 1920 in Ridgeway, Virginia to the late Eddie Frank O’Dell and Annie Hundley O’Dell, Harvey was a member of Gate City Baptist Church. Before going to Beacon Place he was a resident of Greensboro Retirement Center. Harvey served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Exxon as a Transport Driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Sims O’Dell; sisters, Madeline Martin, Gloria Davis, Gladys Mankin, and Lorene Evans.
He is survived by his son Kenny O’Dell and his wife Annette of Greensboro; and two grandchildren, Philip O’Dell and Jessica Norman.
