Hazel W. Elders

Hazel was born in Sylva, NC to the late Lenoir C. Wilson and Lula Bell Wilson. She was an identical twin and one of 14 children. She was a member of Sumner Baptist Church for many years. She was employed with HBD Inc. in Greensboro.

Hazel never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. She loved her family dearly and loved to fish in her free time.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel with Rev. J.C. Alley and Jeff Webster officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch C. Elders; her son David Elders and two grandsons, Jason Taylor and David Hunt. Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Patricia Elders of Gibsonville, NC, Martha Holmes (Ronnie) of Greensboro, NC, Billy Elders (Tammy) of Gibsonville, NC, Lisa Pless (Marty) of Pleasant Garden. Grandchildren surviving are; Crystal Taylor. Stephanie Newcomb (Barry), Steven Inman (Jessica), Lee Hunt, Anthony Hunt (Kim), Emily Elders and Ashley Reich (David); and ten great grandchildren she loved very much. Also surviving are two siblings; Mary Wilson Monteith of Newport News, VA and Calvin Theodore Wilson (Margie) of Glouster, VA.
