Helen S. Martin

Helen S. Martin, 81, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital. Helen was born in Guilford County on June 17, 1934, the daughter of Dillard R. Stamey and Viola Price. She worked with the Wrangler Corporation and retired after 34 years of service. Helen was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church.

Helen treasured the time she could spend with her family. This was the greatest joy of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed

Helen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert E. Martin of the home; children, Susan Martin and Russell Martin and wife Terri, all of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Martin Sears and husband Roy and Lisa Marie Martin, all of Greensboro, NC; great grandchildren, Michael Robert Sears and Cheyenne Reid; sisters, Edith Hoff of Greensboro, NC, Ruth Thornburg of Randleman, NC, Barbara Curtis and husband Jack and Pat Isaac, all of Pleasant Garden, NC. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21st, 2:30 pm at the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church with burial to follow at the Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
