Aunt Iris will be truly missed by everyone. I always looked forward to the family reunion to see her and Uncle James along with Jason and Darlene and their families.
Aunt Iris would let me come stay during the summer and just hang out. She taught me a lot of things and I am so thankful.
You are now reunited with Uncle James and are with our precious Lord and savior. I love you and I hope you and Uncle James help welcome Mom when she is ready.

I always gratefully admired Iris. She was so beautiful outside but especially inside with the Love of Jesus! I always loved our women's events at Gospel through the years the God inspired visions she had and was able to bring to pass. She would recite the Name above all names... She was a beautiful Christian lady and will be very missed. Prayers to the family for peace and comfort!

Iris was so special to my Memaw, my family and to me! She was always smiling and so joyful! I was Blessed to attend some of the ladies banquets she held and her love for The Lord was so evident in her life! When my kids were little I would send her yearly picture Christmas cards and she told me often how much she enjoyed getting those!
She will be missed by many and she definitely left a lasting impression on me! I know my Memaw was one of the first ones to hug her when she walked through those pearly gates of Heaven!
Praying for all of her family during this time❤️

Iris was very near and dear to my heart, as a small child I remember all the funny skits she would do, the scripture recitations, the ladies events she would pour her heart into, the words of wisdom and encouragement she would speak to me and over me. And oh she made me laugh, She was always doing stuff to get reactions out of us. I also use to spend a lot of time with her and James and we had so much fun together. I will cherish my memories with them always! Thank you for sharing her with me! Until we meet again~ Love Hope

Twenty-eight years I ago I had been to all the big bridal stores in Greensboro and not finding what I wanted someone suggested that I go to Iris' Bridal. I wish I had gone there first. What a wonderful experience I had finding the perfect dress. I was treated with such kindness and joy. Iris found me the perfect dress, had it fitted perfectly and it was ready to go on my wedding day. I will always remember the way we were treated and the love I felt. Much love and sympathy to you all - Lynn Long
