Mr. James Floyd "Cucum" McDaniel

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, October 25, 2010, at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Born February 22, 1929, to the late Annie Mills and Neal McDaniel, Mr. McDaniel was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He served in the Armored Infantry in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Machine Fabricator from Mechanical Specialty Co. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his friends, but his favorite times were those spent with his grandsons. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his brothers; Joseph, Thomas, Delmar, Robert, and Edward McDaniel.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, June Pruitt McDaniel; daughters, Donna M. Kivett and Delta Brande and husband Doyle; sisters, Helen Faucette and Doris Barley; grandsons, Michael and Dustin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Sunday evening at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel and other times at his residence.
