

Jane Henderson Nutt, a resident of Well-Spring, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 3, 2022. She was eighty-three years old. Jane was born on November 7, 1938, to Mr. Charley Hubert Henderson and Mrs. Jessie Christine Lowe Henderson in Greensboro, N.C.
Jane graduated from Greensboro High School in 1956. She began working at Blue Bell a few years later. She married James Michael Stogner. In 1974, Jane married Robert H. Nutt Jr. Jane converted to Episcopalian and they attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Jane also worked for The City Club in downtown Greensboro. She planned beautiful wedding receptions and other parties for members and their families.
Bob and Jane retired in Hampstead, N.C where they helped establish an Episcopal Church. Jane assisted in opening a thrift shop in Hampstead and enjoyed working there. They loved boating, fishing, gardening, traveling the world, and spending time with friends and family. They lived in Hampstead for 18 years.
As her husband was in poor health, Jane and Bob moved back to Greensboro to be around family and friends. They attended Holy Trinity, gardened, traveled, and spent special time with their grandchildren.
Following the death of her husband, Jane moved to Well-Spring.
Jane was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie, her father Charley, and her husband Bob Nutt.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Stogner and fiancé Joe Sugg, her sister Esther “Tibe” Payne and husband Tom, two brothers, Tim and Chuck Henderson, seven grandchildren, Eva Garcia Sizemore and husband Julian, Mike Garcia, Jake Garcia, Robert Nutt IV, Emily Nutt, Taylor Nutt, and Morgan Nutt, as well as three stepsons, Robert Nutt III and wife Marsha, John Nutt and wife Darlene, and Jeff Nutt and wife Carolyn, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Samaritan’s Purse PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 and/or NC Zoological Society, 4403 Zoo Pkwy, Asheboro, NC 27205.
The family would like to thank all the people at Well-Spring and Hospice (CNA’s, nurses, doctors, etc.) who helped care for Jane.
