

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greensboro, NC. The family will visit with friends following the service.
A native of Greensboro, and daughter of the late Eva Mae Swaim Greer and Mac Hamilton Greer, Jane graduated from Greensboro Senior High School followed by additional education at Woman’s College before marrying her late husband, M. D. Stout, Jr.
Jane was a take-charge lady who excelled in creative arts expressed by her love of needlepoint, cross stitch, book binding and decoupage. She involved herself in the community through the PTA, various garden clubs, book clubs, and sewing clubs. Jane loved travel, antiquing and also was known for her love of cooking and cookbooks!
Above all, Jane was immersed in her love for her family. They include daughters, Roddy S. Dixon (Bob), Sparta, NC, Greer S. Bumgarner (Bob) of Greensboro, and sons, M. D. “Mackie” Stout, III (Janet), Morehead City, NC and Terry Dee Stout (Jan), of Greensboro. Grandchildren of “Mimi” are Kelley Dixon Russell, Robert Ross Dixon, Jr, Caroline “Carrie” Hamilton Stout, M. D. “Mac” Stout, IV, Dee Bumgarner Campbell, William Rex Bumgarner, Matthew Dockery Stout, David Current Stout, and Jonathan Baxter Stout; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family is especially grateful to the outstanding staff at Well-Spring for their exceptional care and compassion.
