A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 2 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm Chapel.
Jean was a native of Greensboro, a retired office manager and a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. She was an artist who enjoyed making birthday and Christmas cards. She loved music and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gilmer and Mildred Caudle Tidwell.
Miss Tidwell is survived by her sister, Doris Eide of Edina, Minn., brother, Don Tidwell and wife, Gladys of Pleasant Garden and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, 4800 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC 27410 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
