Jeanette Tippett

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 109 W. Smith St., Greensboro, NC 27401. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.

Born in Guilford County on May 16, 1945 to the late Halim and Angele Koury, Jeanne attended St. Benedict Catholic Church. She worked as an Insurance Specialist for JP Stevens, Cobb Chiropractic Clinic and Physicians for Women of Greensboro. Jeanne enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and watching the Hallmark Channel. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Tippett and a brother, Emo Koury.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, John (Angie), Brian (Jennifer) and Chris (Amber); brother, Joseph Koury; grandchildren, Gavin, Logan, Zack, Nick, Sydney, Macey, Lauren and Madison; great-granddaughter, Katie’Mae; special friend, Cindy Allred (who helped the family with her care); and other extended family and friends.
