Jeffrey Michael Penley, 68, passed away at the home March 30, 2024. Born in Havelock, NC, he is predeceased by his parents, V. Ray Penley and Edith Ellen Howarth. He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger” L. Penley of Greensboro, NC, and cousin Pamela Anderson of Chicago, IL. He also has many other cousins of Chicago, IL.
Upon graduation from UNC-Greensboro he was a buyer for the JC Penny Corporation. He later began his own company, Highlander Search Firm which he operated for 20 years. Additionally, he served as Vice President 1989-90 and President 1993-94 of the Tarheel Chapter of BMW CCA of NC then was involved with BMW Club Racing for nearly a decade.
