Jerry Lee Harper

Beloved son of the late Leslie J. and Kathleen Lineberry Harper, Jerry Lee Harper, 68, died on September 19, 2016. A gathering with reception will be from 12 to 2 PM on Saturday, September 24 at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.

Jerry was born in Greensboro and attended Page High School. He had a quiet nature and was willing to lend a hand whenever asked. Jerry was extremely talented with home improvement projects. He was a generous person and as a member of the “Sons of the American Legion” enjoyed working with American Legion Post #386, where for more than 15 years he gave of his time and participated in events such as hot dog sales and New Year’s celebrations. Jerry loved his family and especially enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas together. His favorite past time was watching Western shows.

He is survived by his brother and wife, Mike and Linda Harper of Brown Summit and sister and husband, Joan and Tim Williams of Greensboro; nieces, Dana Daly and husband Sean of Greensboro and Kellie Harper of Charleston SC; great nieces, Madison, Morgan, Macie, Mia and Samantha; great nephews, Sebastian and Trevor; and a large extended family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his nephew, Chris Harper.
