Jerry was born on Jan.17, 1935 in Greensboro, the son of Bennie Clyde and Marybelle Lyman Todd. Jerry served his country in the US Air Force. Following his military service, he and his brother Elmer owned and operated the Automotive Service Center at the corner of Aycock and Lee Street. He later worked as an independent contractor in home remodeling. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Marian G. Johnson Todd; eleven children, fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with entombment at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
