She and her husband Brad were married in 1978 and have been married for 48 years.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her three beloved children and ten grandchildren. Charles and his wife, Amii and their three children, Justin and wife Maddison, Chloe and Spencer, Kimberly her husband Robert and their three girls, Lyndsey, Lillian and Laurissa, Harrison and his wife Amber and their four children, Kemper, Lawson, Meadow and Newland, her Brother Jerry Wright and his wife Sharon, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She is joined in rest by her mother, Mary, her father, Howard, along with many other loved ones throughout her life. With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Jo's reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Jo's most significant accomplishment was raising her three children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and create a love filled home around the holidays before her disability. Yet, even amidst the challenges life brought her way, Jo never wavered in her compassion for her family.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. She has always put others first. She never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Her life served as a testament to putting family first.
Jo's loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro, NC 27407. A private family graveside will be held at Guilford Memorial Park.
