Joanne Hardin Vaughn

Mary Joanne Hardin Vaughn, 82, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Sunday March 12, 2017 after an extended period of declining health. She was born June 9, 1934 in Guilford County, the daughter of Joseph Leonard and Hazel Novella Pope Hardin.

Joanne was a graduate of Sumner High School and Leon’s Beauty School where she went on to manage the Forum VI and Radiance Salons. She was with the Leon’s family for 35 years. Joanne was always that first person to greet you with that beautiful smile that touched you for a lifetime. A beautiful mother and friend too many. She will be greatly missed.

Joanne was married to Jack Arnold Vaughn who preceded her in death on May 9, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roger Hardin.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Vaughn Turman (Mark); sons, Gerald Walker (Sharon), Jason Vaughn; grandchildren, Brad, Carrie, Christopher, Houston and Devin and brother, Bob Hardin (Vicki).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor, Joe and Misty Coyne. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
