John Johana Fulp

John J. Fulp, 90, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 am at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park with full Military Rites.John was born in Randolph Co., NC, the son of Columbus H. and Lucy Ann Angel Fulp. John served his country in the US Army during WW II. He was a Ford Master Mechanic and worked in that field for over 43 years. His family always came first and they were his ultimate love. He always enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and working in his yard.John was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Alta Knight, Frankie Pendry and brothers, Wilbert Fulp and Howard Fulp. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Lena Bishop Fulp; son, Paul Fulp; daughters; Theresa Wicker, Dianne Fulp and Cathy Garner; granddaughters, Lindsey Wicker and Amanda Wicker and great grandson, Jason Swink. Three brothers also survive; J.C. Fulp, Samuel Fulp and Daniel Fulp.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
