John Richard "Rick" Gordon, 68, passed away on July 9, 2026. Born on June 13, 1958, in Aurora, Colorado, Rick lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Rick spent many years working in construction as a foreman, where he earned the respect of those around him through his knowledge, leadership, and willingness to teach others. He took great pride in helping people learn how to build, repair, and create with their own hands.
Outside of work, Rick found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved tending to his large garden each year, spending time fishing, listening to his music a little louder than most, and making memories with his grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
Rick was known as the life of the party, always ready with a joke or story to make others laugh. He never hesitated to help a neighbor or friend, no matter the time of day or the task at hand. A lifelong student of the Bible, his faith quietly guided the way he lived and treated others.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Gordon; his daughter, Sarah Sanabria; his sons, Robert Gordon and Paul Gordon; several cherished grandchildren; and his sisters, Rita Rios and Janet Wheeler.
He will be remembered for his generous heart, his steady presence, his sense of humor, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness and willingness to help others. Though deeply missed, the memories he created and the lessons he shared will remain with those who loved him.
