A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012, 3 p.m., at Guilford Memorial Park with Rev. Freddie Seabrooks officiating.
John was born July 1, 1948, in Rockingham County to the late John Wilson Gourley, Sr. and Jewel Sharpe Gourley.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
John is survived by his wife Cheryl Gourley; daughter, Mary Alice Keen; son, Paul Allen Gourley; grandchildren, Morgan Gourley, Jordan Keen, Ian Keen and Olivia Gourley, all of Greensboro.
Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel is assisting the Gourley family.
