Joseph G. Chambers, Jr., 92, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. He was born on August 13, 1925 in Randolph County, the son of Joseph G. and Annie Dalton Chambers, Sr. He served his country in the US Navy. Joe owned and operated Modern Plumbing until his retirement. He then worked in real estate and investments. Joseph was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise in 2000. Surviving is his wife, Mary Lou Chambers of the home; daughter, Lynn Fowler(Frank)of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Derrick Walker, Preston Walker (Tracy), sister, Sara Nell Counts(Raymond); great grandson, Austin Walker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
