Joseph William Ness

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 9, 2017 at The Capital Church 1308 US-70 Garner, NC 27529, with Pastor Joe Fancisco officiating. A committal service will follow at 3:00 pm at Pinelawn Cemetery 4488 US-70 Kinston, NC 28504.

Mr. Ness was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 25, 1933 to the late Franklin Elmer Ness and Mary Margaret Dennis Ness. He was Owner/Operator of Craft Stores for 12 years. Mr. Ness was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Maud Ann Ness in 2000, and six of his siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Patti Ness of Greensboro; sisters, Mary Agnes Broyles of Wilson, NC, Frances Naomi Carey (Don) of Bailey, NC, and Shirley Sneder of Maryland; grandchildren, Patrick Eugene Radford (Kristen Nicole), Jessica Ann Ness, and Victoria Leigh Radford; great-grandchildren, Shawn Michael Blystone, Emily Denise Hayward, James Wyatt Radford, Owen Ray Radford; and Madison Rose Radford; nieces; nephews; and other extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Mr. Ness.
