Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Irene Ann Nichols. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene A. Nichols; daughter, Joanne M. Spillane and husband William; son, Joseph T. Nichols, both of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jennifer, Katherine, Sean, and Joseph and his sister, Genevieve O’Brien of Hicksville, NY. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Joe’s caregivers at Smith House at Pennybryn and his special friend and caregiver, Travis Honeycutt of Forever Young Home Care.
