Steve previously was at Loyalton of Greensboro where my mother Edith Ward began her stay in Assisted Living. My Mother has been deaf all her life and uses sign language for communication. Her room was on the same hall as Steve's room. He would always greet her each day as she came down the hall and they were able to communicate with gestures and Mom really appreciated Steve with his warm smile and open communication. I too would see Steve at least every other day sitting on his chair in the hall and we had many conversations about the world and events. I would take him periodically to the store to pick up item and we would enjoy the ride. I also visited Steve at the Nursing Center in High Point but was unsure if he remembered me. Our sympathies to the family. We loved Steve and miss him greatly. Melvin Ward and Edith Ward
