To the Wood family -  Our hearts are broken and we are so sorry for the loss of this dear, sweet man, Henderson. Our family loves him. We had a running joke years ago.  Henderson would always be at our house when I came home from Harris Teeter. It didn't matter what day or time and just by chance. He would come out of the house and bring in my groceries. My condolences to his family. My condolences to the world. He was one of the most unique human beings I've ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with. He kind of floated in and around, people, places, always moved around like a silent ninja. I told him he needed bells. He floated around this world too, somehow, like his feet never touched the ground. We went out walking at midnight, down his parents street, mesmerized at the shadows the trees cast, moving in the wind. He showed me his cat. He brought over his motorcycle. He had just bought it and he was in love...the only motorcycle I've ever ridden. He came over one night just to serenade me, while he played his guitar, I just cried. I had no idea why, except for the music was so lovely and then when he finished he just left, like a great wind. He didn't want anything from me. It was just a gift. He was like this whisp of something spectacular, like he was in between worlds. I cannot really describe how I feel, except to say the world has lost something brilliant, beautiful, pure...someone full of magic and shiny chrome and music...and it acts as if it has no idea. The world in all its absurdity just goes on...like it knows not what it has lost. May you forever flit around us Hendo, like fireflies at dusk, reminding us of childhood joy, tired from play, heading home, to rest in safe places where no one can touch us.

A sweeter soul never existed .  ..I will never forget you or your smile and am sending condolences and prayers to your family.
