March 25, 1963 – February 17, 2025
Our dear brother and friend, Scott Lovelace, went to be with our Lord on February 17, 2025. Scotty was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi McLamb Lovelace, and his father, Bryant Lee Lovelace.
Scotty leaves behind 3 sisters and 1 brother – Beth Hawks of High Point, Kim Hilliard (Todd) of Kernersville, Kit Lewallen (Scott) of Kernersville and Ken Lovelace (Marianne) of Chattanooga. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews; Hawks Jolley, Ann Hawks Arrington, Allison Hilliard Hobbs and Jordan Lewallen.
Scotty was a professional painter and owned Lovelace Painting where he had the opportunity to work with businesses and individuals throughout High Point and beyond. He was a jack of all trades and a superb handyman, always willing to lend a hand to friends and family when they were in need. He took great pride in his work and it showed in the quality craftsmanship that he continuously provided. Whether it was a simple job like painting a bedroom or a huge undertaking like completely renovating a High Point furniture showroom, Scotty was the man for the job!
Outside of his professional life, Scotty was an avid Duke basketball fan and enjoyed the rivalry this created with the Tarheel fans in his life. In his spare time Scotty was a gardener, raised chickens for their eggs and would spend time with his pet Parakeets whom he adored. Scotty was also a devoted son to his mother, Naomi, who he spent countless hours with and cared for as she aged.
Scotty will be dearly missed by all those that knew him.
The family would like to thank all those that have reached out with their love and support during this difficult time. A private Celebration of Life for Scotty will be held in the coming days.
