Judith "Judy" Anne Wells

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with The Rev. John de Beer officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC. Please remember to wear a mask at both the visitation at the funeral home and the funeral service at the church.

Judy was born in Bridgeport, Conn on May 10, 1940 to Virgil and Dorothy Pullen. She grew up in Connecticut and Yonkers, NY and was a member of Terrace Chapter Order of the Eastern Stars in NY and served as Matron in 1966. Judy married the love of her life and best friend, James “Jim” H. Wells on September 23, 1961 and they moved to Greensboro in 1973. Judy and James organized PTA’s for Spec. ED in Yonkers, NY and Greensboro, NC.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved and adored step-father, Charles Parsons.

Judy is survived by her son, James Wells of Greensboro; “adopted son”, David Spease, Jr. of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Frances Wells Jackson of Bel Air, MD; nephews, David Jackson of Yonkers, NY and Donald (Irene) Jackson of Benson, NC; niece, Donna (Brad) Stevenson of Bel Air, MD; great nephew, Timothy Jackson of Yonkers, NY; great nieces, Leah, Rebecca and Cassandra Jackson all of Benson, NC and Vivienne and Eleanor Stevenson of Bel Air, MD.
