Judy Pachovia Wallace Williams Marley was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 surrounded by family at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was born in Chatham County on June 8, 1952 to Elbert Calvin and Margaret (Johnson) Wallace. She graduated from Jordan Matthews High School in Siler City. In 1976, Judy and John Marley, Jr. met and later married in 1979.
Judy loved traveling with her family, collecting pottery, growing her beautiful plants, nice cars, watching good movies, and reading the Bible, Danielle Steele, or Nora Roberts books. Her favorite places were the beach and the mountains. She also enjoyed having large family gatherings and cookouts. It was no secret that she was a fan of NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Carolina Tar Heels.
Affectionately known as ‘Momma Judy’, she was a fierce protector of family. She unconditionally and unselfishly loved her children, grandchildren, and godchildren. Family to her was more than just the people that shared her bloodline, it was about people whom she extended love to. She provided warmth and comfort to many throughout the years, welcoming them into her life and her home. Her passionate care for others often exceeded her own needs. She never met a stranger and had a way of meeting people wherever they were in their life and showing them love. She had a way of lighting up any room she entered, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.
Judy was a God-fearing woman of faith who knew her purpose was to help others in any way she could. It was nothing unusual to be in conversation with her and she give you scriptures to help get you through the day. Her calls and texts had a way of making the day just a little brighter. Her generous spirit and kind heart will forever be cherished.
Judy joins her mother, Margaret, and son, Keith in heaven. Left to cherish her memory are her husband John Marley, Jr, her children Tara Williams, Kara Williams, Cecil Williams, Jr, Dara Marley Rearden (Robert), her grandchildren Marquita Shantel Williams, Robert Rearden, and Regan Rearden. She also leaves behind a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services of Greensboro is assisting the family during this time.
