Julia Bryant Jones, 80, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 following a brief illness.
A memorial service will be held in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2 pm.
Mrs. Jones was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 20, 1931. She graduated from UNC-Greensboro (Woman’s College) in 1953 with a degree in Sociology. She continued to live in Greensboro, with her husband, Milnor, for the remainder of her life. She was a long-time employee of the Children’s Home Society of North Carolina, where she worked as a case worker. Mrs. Jones was an active member of First Presbyterian Church.
Julia is survived by her husband, Milnor Price Jones, her daughter, Elizabeth Jones McDevitt, her grandson, William Price McDevitt, and her sister, Maharona Bryant Simpson.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her son, Milnor Price Jones, Jr.
Memorial donations in Julia’s name may be sent to the Children’s Home Society of North Carolina.
