Mr. Kareem Tawasha

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 215 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27408. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born March 29, 1935 to the late Jeris and Fareeda Tawasha, Mr. Tawasha was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. He became the owner and operator of a convenience store in 1964. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was no stranger to hard work and was very much a family man. He enjoyed entertaining friends and family and was a great cook. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tawasha was preceded in death by all three of his brothers and his four sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Jameeleh Hanna Tawasha of the home; three children, Jack, Sam, and Maryann; grandchildren, Hanna, Jesse, and Nicolas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Tuesday evening at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel, and other times at the residence.
