Kathleen Carty

Kathleen was born August 13, 1940 in The Bronx, New York, the daughter of John Francis and Margaret Malone O’Brien. She married Kenneth P. Carty, Sr in November 1963.

Kathy retired as Office Manager for Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed volunteering at Wesley Long Hospital. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St Benedict’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, as well as her siblings John James, Loretta, Margaret (Peggy), Eileen, Emily, and Thomas.

Surviving are: children, Christine Carty Dohm and husband Donald of Madison, Sheila Carty of Cary, Kenneth P. Carty, Jr. and wife Jessie of Huntersville, and Brian Carty of Raleigh; grandchildren Thomas, Patrick, and Ryan Dohm.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8th at 9:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd, Greensboro. A Blessing and entombment will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Sedgefield Mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.
