Kathleen Nelson Pauley

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Sedgefield Baptist Church, 6007 High Point Rd., Greensboro. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm Monday, May 31st at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.

Kathleen was born October 4, 1924 in Greensboro, daughter of the late Reverend Rufus B. Nelson and Hazel Whitt Nelson. She was an active member of Sedgefield Baptist Church.

Mrs. Pauley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Edward O. Pauley; brothers, James and Richard Nelson; and sisters, Marie Domigan and Helen King.

She is survived by her son, Edward O. Pauley II and wife Emma of Kernersville; granddaughter, Elizabeth P. Smith of High Point; grandson, James E. Pauley of Charlotte; step-grandsons, Dennis Brinson of Wilmington and Bo Brinson of Newport; great grandchildren, Alexis and Mackenzie Smith of High Point; step-great grandchildren, Anna, Abbey, Elijah, Norah and Asher Brinson.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
