Kathryn Anne Roth, born May 27, 1953, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2026 in Greensboro, NC, surrounded by her family. Kathryn is predeceased by her mother, Betty Roth, her father, Charles Roth, her brother, Richard Roth and many other close cousins whom she loved dearly. Kathryn is survived by her sister, Barbara Roth, daughters, Blair Wisco (Martin Andersen) and Maggie Napier (Justin Napier), and beloved grandchildren, Rebecca Andersen, Sophia Andersen, Walker Napier, and Bennett Napier.
Kathryn grew up in Greensboro, NC, where she attended public school followed by Mrs. Rypins’ private school. For high school she moved to Bryn Mawr, PA, to attend the Baldwin School as a boarder, a formative period of her life. Kathryn went on to pursue her higher education at the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Kathryn was known for her sharp mind and highly valued education. She instilled this value in her daughters who are both educators.
Kathryn worked at the Sharpless & Stavola law firm for over 30 years, where she developed many close friendships that she maintained following her retirement. She had a love of film and theater, took pleasure in playing card games and reading, and greatly enjoyed travel. Above all else, Kathryn’s greatest source of happiness was her family and friends. She found her absolute joy in being a mom and grandma and was dedicated to maintaining her connections with her extended family throughout her life. She also developed a large community of friends who meant the world to her. As an adult, she reconnected with her Baldwin group, delighting in her annual trips to Stone Harbor and many get-togethers. She was a fierce advocate for her loved ones and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her friends and family were her whole world and the love she shared with them will continue to guide them. We are grateful to all of her friends and family for the support they provided during her illness, particularly her cousins Cathy Bowerman and Stewart and Betty Rogers for their kindness and medical support.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania or Guilford County Democratic Party.
