Kathy Lynn DeClue

Kathy Lynn DeClue went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, June 30, 2017 after a long courageous battle with Leukemia. Kathy was a strong woman of faith; she loved the Lord, her family and her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Estil and Hettie Hammed and son Billy Dwight DeClue. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 45 years, Harles DeClue of Trinity, NC; children, Keith DeClue of Trinity, NC, Linda Rush and husband Larry of Trinity, NC and Josh DeClue of Trinity, NC and five grandchildren; sister, Roseanna Tucker and husband Leslie of Vinton, VA; brothers, Estil “Butch” Hammed and wife Linda of Roanoke, VA, Daniel Hammed and wife Sandy of Greensboro, NC , Duane Hammed and wife Karen of Greensboro, NC and Donald Hammed and wife Shelia of Kernersville, NC. She will also be lovingly missed by many nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as “Aunt Dewie Dewie.”

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 on Monday at Midway Baptist Church in Jamestown, NC with Pastor Charles Mustain and Pastor Butch Hammed officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
