We first met this sweet lady in 2003. Our boys were being recruited by Elon University. At one of the recruiting tables we sat with Wes and Kathy and ate lunch. I was not happy that my son (Cody) was going to be so far from our Georgia home. I began to pray for God to watch over my precious son and he did. Wes called Cody (Kathy had suggested that) to see if they could be roommates. They were and they have been the best of friends since that day. For me I could have not ask for a sweeter more loving lady to be my son's second mom and for my son to have Wes as his best friend. Kathy looked over Cody just like he was one of hers and whenever we came to see him the whole family made us feel welcome. Kathy and Richard have raised some awesome children. Kathy is with Jesus now and she will be greatly missed, but I know her spirit lives on in her children . May God bless this family and prayers will continue. All my love Ann Kay
