Kristy Bernia Ramage

Kristy was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on October 6, 1977, to the late Robert E. Ramage (aka “The Great Dad) and Jewell H. Ramage. Kristy, growing up, was a loving and sometimes mischievous child. She graduated from Western Guilford High School in 1995 and went on to attend college at Shaw University, as well culinary school at Guilford Technical Community College. Her love for cooking was shared with everyone she met no matter who you were. Kristy made sure she fed you a good meal. While cooking was her passion, Kristy enjoyed bingo, fishing, watching reality television, and travel; especially to the casino, and more importantly, planning trips to the beach with family and friends. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to share her amazing food, her unconditional love, friendship, and laughter. Everyone loved to be around Kristy!

Our dearly beloved Kristy was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Ramage, Jr., her grandparents, Robert E. Ramage, Sr. & Frances A. Ramage (paternal), Levi C. Hunter & Dotsy B. Hunter (maternal), as well as uncles and aunts. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband John Tipps; son, Christian D. Ramage; stepson Jakari L. Tipps; mother, Jewell H. Ramage; mother-in-law, Marilyn P. Irby; sister, Kimberly R. Ware (Donal); brother, Scott T. Ramage; nephews, Blake, Donall, Skyler Ware, and Brandon D. Tipps; niece, Fallon A. Ware and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Rest in paradise, Kristy. Your light will continue to shine brightly because we will carry on your legacy of unending kindness, unwavering loyalty, and love, along with the memories of the laughter and joy we all shared.
