Larry Boyce Pender

Larry lived in Haw River, NC, during his marriage to wife, Janet. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army during the mid-1960's, at the height of the war. After his Honorable Discharge he returned to Burlington, NC to be near family. He retired from the Times-News after a career in advertising. Afterwards, he continued to provide services to local businesses, privately, until health issues preempted.

Larry was predeceased by his wife, Janet Pender, and siblings, Bill Pender and Bette Lassiter. He is survived by his daughter, Christine Whitt and husband Steve; granddaughter, Taylor Robinson and husband Dylan; grandson, Zach Allred; great granddaughter, Bella Robinson; and siblings, Neal Gregory and wife Bunnie (BJ), Rick Pender, Susie Stearns and husband Dale.

A service for Larry will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Please click on the link of the service address under the service tab for directions to the cemetery.
