The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 30, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, NC. The family asks that those who desire to do so gather in the sanctuary fifteen minutes prior to the service in order to hear the voluntary prelude music played by John Alexander, Organist.

He had a pastor’s heart. He was a devoted husband and father and adored by his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Newman Avent, his daughter, Ginger A. Vukov, and three older brothers.
Surviving are his daughter, Ashley A. Scholer (John) of Lynchburg, VA; son-in-law, Gary Vukov (Heidi) of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, John Lawrence Scholer (Mae) of Washington, DC, Margaret Sydnor Scholer of Richmond, VA, Bryan Arthur Vukov of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ben Ashley Vukov of Myrtle Beach, SC; great-granddaughter, Ashley Scholer of Washington, DC, and his attentive and devoted niece and nephews.
