Leavina Goldie Ramsey was born April 25, 1936 to Daniel and Beaulah Fouts. She transitioned into her Heavenly Home on April 28, 2020. Her final hours were spent at Clapp’s Nursing Home in Pleasant Garden, NC where they comforted her, sang to her, prayed for her and loved her until she took her last breath.
Leavina was a faithful member of Aycock fellowship Ministries until her health declined. Western Electric employed her for years until she became a full time homemaker. She took great pride in keeping a spotless home, cooking her “secret recipes”, sewing and making sure that she never went to bed with a piece of dirty laundry in the house.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children Dannie Blackmon (Sharon) of Greensboro, Donna Hudgins of Randleman, Freddie Blackmon (Anita) of Liberty, Pam Yarborough (Greg) of Greensboro, Sherry McCall (Freddie) of Asheboro, her granddaughter that she raised April Graves (Cedric) of Greensboro, her bonus daughter Marion Davis (Ronald) of Greensboro and her bonus son that she tried to keep out of trouble Donald Ramsey also of Greensboro, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of adopted grandchildren from Lawrence Manor Apartments as well as other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, her siblings Clyde, Faye, and Rebecca preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can be submitted to Clapp’s Nursing Home, 5229 Appomattox Road, Pleasant Garden, NC, 27313 in her honor.
Special thanks to all Clapp’s Nursing Home staff; we appreciate your love and kindness.
Friends may pay their respects on Monday, May 4th, 10:00 am to 11:45 am at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Funeral services for the family will be at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
