

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Chapel, Greensboro, N.C., with the Pastor C. Lee Proctor, Jr. officiating.
Lebby was born June 8, 1941, in Greenwood, S.C. to the late Samuel Ready Bradford, Sr. and Elizabeth Ellis Bradford. She graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia, S.C. and Lander University in Greenwood, S.C, and received her Master's Degree in Library Science from UNC Chapel Hill. After 34 years of service, Lebby retired from the City of Greensboro as Reference Librarian. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Elks Lodge and the Greensboro Public Library Retiree Club. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. She will be missed for her compassion and understanding that she gave to everyone unconditionally. She loved spending her time reading and sharing the love of reading to all especially her grandchildren. Her gracious correspondence was a treasured link to extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lebby was preceded in death by her husband, Daryle Lawson Lamb.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Lamb Thomas and husband Kevin of Mint Hill, N.C., Julia Lebby Lamb Donley-Diffley and husband Greg Diffley of Clayton, N.C.; grandchildren, Allison Elizabeth Kepko, Haylee Marie Thomas, Morgan Anne Thomas, Sean Lawson Donley, Declan Michael Donley, Brooklyn Lebby Diffley; brother, Samuel Ready Bradford, Jr. and wife Deronda of Charleston, S. C. Also surviving are a nephew, Read Bradford and a niece, Ellis Bradford, both of Charleston, S.C., and many cousins.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
