Lemuel R. "Ray" Baity

Ray was born on October 31, 1928 in High Point, NC. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Following his military service, he returned home and worked in the furniture industry. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was very proud of his grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife Lauretta “Polly” Baity in 1991. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Gail Simpson and husband, Jim of High Point, NC; sisters, Bonnie, Becky and Mary, all of Wake County, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Smith and husband Jason of Washington, D.C., Vicki Woods and husband Joey and Jamie Jones and husband David, all of Thomasville, NC and great granddaughter, Kyleigh Woods.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will be at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday night at Tabernacle Baptist Church from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and again one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
