Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Shining Light Baptist Church, 4530 West Wendover Avenue Greensboro, NC 27409 at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Thomas Satterfield officiating. Family visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Lee was born in Rowan County to the late Charles Alexander and Maggie Heileman Deal. He was a US Army World War II Veteran. He served from 1942-1945 and earned the rank of Sergeant.
He retired from the US Postal Service where he worked as a mechanical supervisor. He was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church, loved family, gardening and all things cars.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, ten siblings, and his wife, Mary Nolvice Deal. He is survived by his daughters, LeAnn Finison of Kernersville and LuJean Roberson of Greensboro; grandchildren, Bryan, Shane, Angela and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Jordan, Luke, Michaela, Aiden and Lily; and brother Jim Deal of Faith, NC.
