

Lillard was a graduate of the James B. Dudley High School and was retired from Cone Mills.
He was married to Harriett Maxine Watkins Neal who preceded him in death on December 10, 1997. Lillard was also preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl N. Richardson, Alice Richmond, Shirley Evans and seven brothers, Walter Neal, Percy "Dude" Neal, Allen Neal, Harry Neal, Toney Neal, Paul Neal and David Neal.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon Leath and husband Leroy of Chattanooga, TN, Robin Liles and husband Lee of Charlotte, Lesia Neal of Greensboro, Shavaughn Banks and husband Rufus of Chesapeake, VA, Chastity Maxwell and husband Shawn of Greensboro; son, Lelan Cory Neal and wife Rhonda of Greensboro; sister, Mary N. Stinson of Greensboro; brother, Isaiah Neal and wife Christine of Greensboro; sister-in-law Lucy Neal; special friend, Hazel Galloway; 10 grandchildren, Ashlee Harriett Elizabeth, Leroy Neal Leath, Christy Williams, Kimi Williams, Harrison David Neal Banks, Christopher R. Banks, Jordan Cassisy Maxwell, Charity Kaitlyn Maxwell, Keilan Neal, Kamron Neal and two great grandchildren, Christinna Williams and Chloe Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Brandan White. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:30 p.m. until service time.
