Linda L. Stoldt
February 7, 1949 – February 16, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Linda L. Stoldt announce her unexpected passing on February 16, 2021, at the age of 72. Linda was the eldest daughter of the late R. James and D. Myrial (Sheerer) Stoldt of Attica. Linda will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Angela Stoldt, granddaughter Alexi Johnson (Skip), and great-granddaughter Naeomi Flores, all of Greensboro, NC; her sister, Barbara A. Bayer (Neil), Attica; brother, Robert J. Stoldt (Cathy), Perrysburg; her four nieces, Beth Diesch, Bloomville; Jo Bayer, Cuyahoga Falls; Cassie Bayer, Amherst; Maria Large (Thomas), Arlington, TX; her nephew, Brian Stoldt (Jessie), Leland, NC; two great-nieces, Madalyn and Jorja Diesch; and two great nephews, Owen Diesch and Cameron Stoldt. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Attica High School, attended Capital University, and later graduated from Tiffin University with her bachelor’s degree. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a member of Eastern Stars. Linda was a kind, gentle, caring, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to so many throughout her life. She loved children and cherished her time as a mother, as Aunt Nin, and later as Nanny. She was an avid reader, with an adventurous spirit that led her on many trips all over North America and even to Europe, and spending most of the last ten years in North Carolina with her family. Her interests were varied and many; including art, tracing family history, the practical skills of basic home repairs, crosswords, sudoku, and fossil hunting. There was nowhere on earth Linda would rather be than at ‘The Lake’, and it was the times spent there with family and friends over the last six and a half decades that were some of her most treasured times. A private service will be held at Attica-Venice Cemetery, Attica, to lay Linda at rest beside her parents. A Celebration of Life for all family and friends will be held at a future date when it is safe to gather.
