

She was born to the late Julian A. Jamison and Daphne Dendy Jamison on October 28, 1929.
Loa married the late Robert (Bob) Morris on February 16, 1951 and they remained married for 64 happy years.
Loa was a member of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church for many years where she served as youth advisor and was an active member of the bell choir. She was a Registered Nurse at Lake Hurst, NJ Naval hospital and at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. She was an avid tennis player for over 50 years, still playing tennis and winning tournaments in her 70’s. She was 1st place winner in many tennis tournaments and then 1971, the NC Tennis Association ranked her 9th in the state. Further, she was a member of the U.S.T.A. Her hobbies were tennis, watching any sports events, water sports, gardening, bird watching and fishing.
She is predeceased in death by her Mother and Father. Sister Joyce Szyka, brothers John Jamison, Ralph Jamison and Stratton Jamison, as well as her late husband Bob.
Bob and his loving wife spent many hours of enjoyment fishing and watching nature. They dearly loved sitting on their deck in the early evenings watching the birds in the many feeders they provided. Bird watching was a great hobby for them. During those years of marriage, they had three beautiful children: Robert (Bobby) E. Morris, Jr, of Peachtree City, GA, Linda Jane Morris Copley (Gary) of Snow Camp, Alan Studer Morris (Sonya), of Greensboro. They had two grandchildren, John Robert Morris of Pompano Beach, Fl and Paula Kaye Morris of Greensboro. She is also survived by her sisters Ginger Weber and Betty Trimble and brother Bobby Jamison, as well as many nieces.
The family would like to extend their many thanks for all of the loving support that was given to both Loa and her family by the staff at Moses Cone Hospital and Beacon Place during this time.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Scott London. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Beacon Place 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 in memory of Loa Morris.
