

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Lori Ann Capes Kittle, 61 on March 11, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center. Lori Ann was born in Guilford County, NC on July 10, 1964, to the late Herbert and Janice Capes, who she loved dearly.
She graduated in 1984 from North Carolina School of the Deaf in Morganton, NC and was proud to have graduated from the same school as her parents. She adored NCSD and its beautiful campus and made many lifetime friendships. She visited the school frequently with fond memories. Lori also attended Gallaudet University in Washington, DC and later attended various classes at GTCC and RCC. She was employed by Avery Dennison for more than 25 years. Lori was a member of First Baptist Church, Greensboro and the Piedmont Association of the Deaf.
Lori loved spending time with family and enjoyed playing card games with groups of friends. She had a passion for travel with her husband and daughter, other family members and friends and noted that she touched over 35 states and vacationed in at least 25 countries. Photography was a joy she shared with others at a very early age. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, quilting with friends and had a special fondness for cats.
Lori will be remembered for her great sense of humor and sense of adventure. She had a caring heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was also known for her positive attitude and real passion for life.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 22 years, Jeffery Kittle and loving daughter, Ashlea Kittle, older sister Rose Shown, younger sister June Gleason (Chris) and her youngest sibling, brother, Barry Capes (Kelli), a host of nieces and nephews, Aunt Faye Eaton, numerous cousins and friends and four feline fur baby rescues.
The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City, Blvd., Greensboro, NC on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm, Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm in the Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
