A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home 515 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401. A reception will follow the memorial service.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 29, 1950 to the late Noman and Claire Messing, Lorraine was of the Catholic faith. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Lorraine enjoyed traveling and thoroughly enjoyed the beach, the time she lived in Florida, was a wonderful cook and cherished the times she spent with her family, most especially the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Louis Giroud and four siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Tressa Tuckmantel; sisters, Trudy Buelow, Patricia Somygi, and Kathleen Egan; brothers, John, Sunny, Harvey, and Henry Messing; grandchildren, Justin and Kaitlyn Tuckmantel; and other extended family.
