Louise Hodnett Graham

Louise Hodnett Graham, born March 25, 1948, in Lafayette, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 77. She was the beloved daughter of the late William Carroll Hodnett and Mary Ann Coger Hodnett and was a resident of Gibsonville, North Carolina.

Louise was a graduate of Southern Union State Community College and devoted her life to her family and her faith in Jesus. She is survived by her loving husband, Philip Graham; her son, Richard Graham and his wife, Stephanie, of Simpsonville, South Carolina; her daughter, Carol McDaniel and her husband, Carson, of Fort Mill, South Carolina; her brothers, Edwin Hodnett, Anthony Hodnett and his wife Frankie, Roger Hodnett and his wife Maria, all of Wadley, Alabama; her sisters, Betty Lacy of Wadley, Alabama, and Debra Riley and her husband Leonard of Valley, Alabama; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Landon and Liam Graham, and Parker and Dalton McDaniel, who were a constant source of joy in her life.

Known for her selfless and nurturing spirit, Louise touched the lives of many through her kindness, encouragement, and remarkable culinary talents. She found great joy in sewing, gardening, tending to flowers, and treasured every moment spent with her family.

Louise was a faithful member of Lawndale Baptist Church since 1987, where she served actively for many years, particularly in the children’s ministry and the Lilies of the Field ministry. A breast cancer survivor for more than 20 years, she became a source of strength and inspiration to others facing similar journeys, offering hope, compassion, and unwavering support.

Louise’s legacy of love, service, and quiet strength will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

There will be a celebration of life at Lawndale Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 4th at 2 p.m. Friends will be received immediately following the service at the church.
