Lynn G. Stone

Visitation will be held Friday, May 29th, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Vision Baptist Church, 215 NC Hwy 62 W, Randleman, NC. The service will be held at 1:00 pm at Vision Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Broadstreet officiating. Interment services and a funeral reception will be held immediately following at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC.

Mrs. Lynn Stone was born on September 21st, 1953 in Guilford County, North Carolina to Jean Victoria Margret Garvin and the late Jackson Clay Garvin. In addition to her father, Lynn was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Vance Garvin, and her sister, Victoria Lynn Moss.

She is survived by her mother, Jean Victoria Margret Garvin, her loving husband of 19 years, Irving Norwood Stone, her beloved Labradoodle, Jessie, her stepchildren, Norwood Edward Stone (Maria Stone), Christopher Craig Stone (Tiffany Windham) and Amanda Stone Grant (Josh Grant), as well as her nephew John Garvin (Teri Garvin), her niece, Kimberly Garvin, her nephew, Timothy Moss Jr., her niece, Elizabeth Moss Yates (Troy Yates), her grandnephew, Timothy Alexander Moss, great grandniece, Kensley Grace Moss, her sister Judy Blakley (Jim Blakley) and step-grandchildren Ethan Stone and Sawyer Stone.

She graduated from Grimsley High School, attended classes at GTCC where she pursued medical assistant studies. She loved art, golf, animals (especially her beloved Jessie) and spending time at the beach with family and friends. In her younger years, she was an avid runner and always enjoyed the outdoors. Her positive spirit, joyful personality and welcoming heart will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Jonnie Mae Miller and the staff of Moses Cone Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.
