Margaret was born on June 1, 1926 in Sampson County, NC, the daughter of Coye B. and Rosa Benton Johnson. She lived in the Wilmington area the majority of her adult life. She was in sales of ladies clothing and had worked with Justin’s and Yvonne Howards in Wilmington, NC. She was a long time member of Oleander United Methodist Church.
She moved to High Point ten years ago to be closer to her family. She enjoyed her art and bird watching. Her greatest love was time spent with her grandchildren and family. She will be deeply missed.
Surviving are her son, Gary Michael and wife Penny of High Point, NC; grandchildren; Shelby Lloyd and husband Jesse of Denton, NC and Michael Johnson of Charlotte, NC and one great grandchild, Allison Page Lloyd.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Guilford Memorial Park. Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is assisting the Johnson family.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Westchester Manor for the care, compassion and kindness given to Margaret.
