Mrs. Margaret Locklear Hornburg, 76, passed away Wed. May 2, 2019 at Beacon Place. Mrs. Hornburg was born on January 12, 1943 in Robeson County, a daughter to the late Clarence and Ester Oxendine Locklear. She enjoyed reading and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Most of all, she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hornburg; four brothers, Purcell, Shirley, Harley, and Horace Locklear; sister, Medlin Carol Oxendine; and step son, Dwayne Hornburg. Surviving her are daughters, Teresa Kleeman, Tina Breen, Tracy Kennedy, and Diane Kangas; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Francis Lovitt, Dinah Butcher, and Janet Locklear; and her brother, Clarence Locklear, Jr. A visitation will be held from 5 until 7 pm Sunday, May 5 at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7 pm. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Monday at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at

Im so sorry for your loss your Family is in my prayers an Thoughts. Miss Margaret meant a lot to me , I met her threw My Best Friend Teresa Kleeman, What a remarkable Woman she was , Spunky, an a proud Woman, She loved with her Heart . She loved to Read her Cowboy Books an Romance Novels. She was Funny, Hard Headed lol!!! but she was Honest in her opinions. I loved this woman with all my heart and I'll Miss her everyday.
