Marie Fuller Morgan

Mrs. Marie Fuller Morgan, 77, a former resident of Greensboro died Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the Laurels of Chatham Nursing Home in Pittsboro. Mrs. Morgan was born February 3, 1934 in Guilford Co., a daughter of Jesse Anderson and Alice Hamm Fuller. She was a bookkeeper in the banking industry before retiring. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter. She loved to garden for vegetables with her sisters. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir and served as the church treasurer for 30 years. She always had a heart for everyone.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Brittney Marie Connell; sisters, Mary Carpenter, Margie Lyman and Doris Coltrane; brothers. Dewey, Burton, Cyrus and Jesse Fuller.

On June 10, 1956 she was married to Vernie A. Morgan who survives her. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Allyson Morgan of Raleigh; her sister, Tillie Fullbright of Greensboro and her granddaughter, Stephanie Connell of Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407 conducted by the Reverend Gene Lawhorne. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. .
